Public Transportation Fares for Students?
I hope I'm in the right board for this kind of question.
My name is Mariana and I'm a High School student in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I'm reasearching about special transportation fares for students around the world.
In my city, primary school students get a free subway card (up to 4 trips a day on weekdays); the bus fare is 5 cents (as opposed to the 1 peso regular fare). High School students pay half of the fare in both means of transportation. University students get no discount at all.
In order to get the discount, students must go to the head office of each subway or bus line, where they are provided with a student ID which will only be of use when taking that line.
I was wondering if you could tell me what sorts of discount -if any- are available for students of diferent levels in your city or country.
Many thanks,
Mariana
